Ginny the Prodigy Pianist Captivates Viewers At Seven
The seven year old Ginny from China astonishes audiences with piano skills that rival adults. Her father William Tin, persuaded by a painter and Don McNeill, sends her to Chicago where she appears daily on the Don McNeill show in 1959. LIFE magazine then features her in a major spread, while Ed Sullivan and Perry Como dispute who showcases her first.

Ginny Tin Show fuels coast to coast fame in 1960s
Ginny Tiu, 20, star of Hap Louie's Latitude 20 in Torrance, recalls a childhood start at 8 with Aunt Syl. She rose to national TV with Jimmy Durante and Groucho Marx, acted in Burke's Law and Elvis films, toured Europe and Asia, and performed at Carnegie Hall. Her sisters Vicky and Elizabeth joined later, while Alex on drums and a band backed the act. The article lists other local shows and venues, including Robin Wilson at Hop Louie's and the Dixieland at the Brass Penny Inn, with fare and nightly entertainment noted.
