Scientist weighs Sputnik fragment found in Hartford yard
Police investigated a Sunday night object fall in Hartford Connecticut after a resident reported a bright bluish green fragment in a back yard. Professor Robert L Brown of Southern Connecticut State College said a satellite fragment is plausible while noting meteor or other debris cannot be ruled out. The item described as fist to brick sized, lightweight metal possibly aluminum alloy, was examined by Brown and handed to authorities.
