Judge Runs Out of Faith By BILL GAGNON

Jail inmate Joseph Juarez 28 sat in Downey jail as a preliminary hearing for forgery and burglary charges continued. Judge Charles Wri Sky kept Juarez held on 100 bail after he was five days late for court and later surrendered through the Independent Press telegram. Juarez claimed to hide in Long Beach area panhandling for cigarettes and wine while fearing testifying against two gospel defendants who attacked his home and threatened his pregnant wife and infant daughter. Detective Phil Henson said a search is under way for 32 year old James Ervin Plough, on parole for armed robbery and now missing after failing to appear for his own hearing.
