Scandal Trial Slins Back in Doldrums
In Los Angeles the Confidential trial moved briefly to Gardena to obtain testimony from a bedridden defense witness. The prosecution rested its case by 10 45 a.m. and presented about 50 exhibits earlier admitted for identification. Judge Walker allowed most exhibits and ordered the witness testimony to be taken in court reporter presence. The defense seeks to undermine the Maureen O Hara episode by contesting the evidence and testimony. A separate San Fernando report details a 12 year old boy Sheldon Elmore fleeing home after fearing arrest following a death caused by a heart attack during tag. He later reunited with his parents after collecting $110 from a newspaper route and traveling with various companions. A Texas couple turned him in to authorities after learning he was not 16 as claimed by some. The boy was returned home as he resumes studies.
