Cal Expo sales talks under way
Cal Expo officials disclosed that serious talks are under way for selling the $30 million exposition to a group of investors from Pennsylvania and Maryland. Edward Edelstein, a Philadelphia attorney, reported by Ralph Nissen, chairman of the Cal Expo executive committee. Denis Babson, leader of the exposition development subcommittee, said a report will be given on November 17. The subcommittee has met ten times to locate the investment for Cal Expo.

State Will House Displaced Families in California
The State Public Works Department plans a new program to provide low cost replacement housing for about 230 low income families displaced by freeway construction. Most residents are of Mexican extraction and will be relocated to allow construction of portions of I 5 and 805 near San Ysidro on the Mexican border.
