Discussion of Mass Continues at Vatican Council
Vatican City reporters note that prelates at the Ecumenical Council debated keeping worshipers from being indifferent spectators during Mass. Cardinals and bishops from around the world discussed questions on the Eucharist amid talks on a liturgy constitution, with 23 speakers at a three hour closed session in St Peter's Basilica. A spokesman said many council fathers favored greater knowledge and intimate participation for worshipers, including the use of missals translating Latin into national languages.
