Dr Frederick G Jensen 42 died by suicide in his garage at home on Thursday night. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Long Beach Memorial Hospital after neighbors reported severe marital problems. Youth Ordered to Stand Trial in Taxi Driver Death
A 16 year old Maryhand youth was ordered to stand trial in Van Nuys on a murder charge in the death of Long Beach cab driver Henry F. Porter 58 dumped in a Reseda street after Porter was shot in the back of the head and $60 taken. The youth allegedly fled in the cab and was bound over for Superior Court arraignment Nov 8 after a pre trial hearing before Van Nuys Municipal Court Judge Francois Corhran. Edith L Christensen Porter’s nurse supervisor at Community Hospital Long Beach who had known Porter for 25 years testified. Surviving are his widow two daughters and a sister. The deceased was born in Redlands and had lived in Long Beach 56 years.
