US Boosts Food Aid for UN World Food Program
The United States announced a quota increase of 130 million dollars for the World Food Program and will match all contributions after July 31, 1966, dollar for dollar. George L. Killion said Thant was informed of the plan as pledges lag behind the January 18 1966 target of 275 million for 1966 68 to aid poorer lands. The total available so far from all sources is 153.8 million.
