Grim outlook for California school bonds as voters reject more
Sacramento reports show 555 million of 656 million in 1973-74 bond issues rejected by voters, with only 61 million approved. Smaller measures fared no better, while major Los Angeles and San Diego projects dominated the rejection totals. Officials cite inflation, government fatigue, and shifting parental attitudes as key factors impacting ballot support.
