No crime found in ticket fixing by deputies 1972 73
A Los Angeles district attorney report concludes ticket fixing by deputy marshals in 1972 and 1973 was not a crime or prosecutable offense. DA Joseph Busch said changes in the law may be studied to make such activity illegal in the future. About 100 citations were reviewed and no conspiracy or record falsification was established.
