Former Fresno Mayor Wallace Henderson and eight other 1970 election candidates were sued by Secretary of State Edmund Brown Jr. for failing to disclose campaign finances. Henderson submitted an acceptable report after claiming campaign records were destroyed in a fire and an injury. Brown noted Henderson reported about 3900 dollars raised, with a late report postmarked Fresno October 46. The Senate also sent Reagan a bill allowing access to state criminal records.
