ACS Holds Line On Breast Cancer Surgery Guidance
The American Cancer Society reported that in most breast cancer cases there is not enough evidence to change to lumpectomy, keeping radical mastectomy as the proven option for operable disease. Studies underway may change guidance in the coming years.
