Government warning on wheel control arms for Ford Mercury cars
The Transportation Department warned four million 1965 to 1969 Ford and Mercury owners to inspect or replace front wheel control arms after a possible defect could cause loss of control. Ford said dealers should prioritize inspections and that costs fall to owners. Ford maintains no defect in the control arm.
