Medi Calif providers to gain 5 percent fee hike
Sacramento reports a 5 percent fee increase for physicians dentists pharmacists and most Medi Cal providers serving state patients. Non institutional providers get 2.5 percent now with 2.4 pending federal approval. About 78 000 practitioners benefit. hospitals and nursing homes excluded. A separate one year experiment may yield up to 5 million yearly savings through drug formulary refunds from Eli Lilly and Co.
