Mrs. Thomas Hefel of Guttenberg Iowa received a letter from her son Daniel Hefel saying he is alive and well in North Vietnam He is a gunner with the 1st Airborne Division and was reported missing February 5 1970 after a helicopter he manned was shot down He hopes his family does not worry and expresses love The letter dated May 15 1972 is the first word from him since his disappearance

Delinquent brothers in jam murder case in Texas
Two brothers aged 14 and 40 were arrested in Springtown near Waco after they allegedly shot a real estate agent Jenny Sheinfeldt 65 during a burglary. Police say the younger admitted firing once and the elder firing again after the agent tried to intervene. The elder has 11 prior arrests including arson and burglary. the younger has two. Both are held at the Waco Juvenile Detention Center as authorities decide charges.

New York Sues GM Over Bus Sales
The city filed a class action against General Motors accusing it of monopolizing bus manufacture and sales for public transit.
