Legacy of Aid Perpetuated 38 RFK Fellows In Trenches
Washington reports on the RFK Memorial fellows chosen to advance community programs across America. Paul Cobb, a Berkeley political science graduate, resigns a $15,000 job to join at $4,000 a year. The program places doctors, lawyers and other professionals with community groups to develop housing, health and economic projects, guided by community requests and figures like Saul Alinsky. California hosts ten fellows including Cobb, Dr William Davis, and Maria Harris, with diverse roles in legal aid, health clinics, and urban development.
