Thirteen hurt in Long Beach traffic mishaps
Thirteen persons were injured in ten traffic accidents in Long Beach over Wednesday and Thursday, police reported. Victims include Neva Hawkins and Gail Wisdom treated after collisions at Los Coyotes Diagonal. Viola Russell struck while crossing Junipera Avenue. Russell Douglas and others treated after pedestrians were hit by vehicles on Second Street and Seventh Street.

Boy on cycle critically hurt in San Pedro collision
A 14 year old San Pedro boy, Mario L. Nunez of 1135 Battery St., riding a bicycle, was critically injured when a truck turned the wrong way into a one way street at Battery and Park Western Drive. He suffered a skull fracture and other injuries and was taken to San Pedro Peninsula Hospital. The truck driver, Robert L. Dilke, 22, of 1305 Roth Place, San Pedro, has been cited.
