California Teacher of the Year Everson Named
Richard G. Everson, English teacher at Big Bear High School in Bear Valley Unified, named California Teacher of the Year by State Superintendent Wilson Riles. Everson a 43 year old father of four, leads a department teaching history and anthropology, creative writing and journalism to about 500 students. He previously worked as a Detroit Times reporter and ran a medical laboratory, with a Navajo anthropology expedition. He is a candidate for a Masters at Claremont Graduate School.
