Promises for Quads Fail to Help Bibers Family
Yitzhak and Hadassah Berman, parents of quadruplets born a month earlier, face unmet promises of aid from government and charity. Three grants of 1200 each, 3500 for a new house, milk and a live-in nurse were pledged but未 delivered. The surviving triplet girls Osnat, Lillach, Galit and boy Kalman remain in incubators at Hadassah Medical Center as their premature birth and care draw out months.

Talks resumed with archdiocese negotiators and the Secondary Teachers Association yielded no progress comments. The key issue remains pay raises costing about $500,000 over three years or 13 cents per Catholic per week for the archdiocese. Over 100 teachers and three nuns protested at the chancery carrying signs on pay.
