Jury seated in knifing death trial of youth
A jury of eight women and four men was seated in the Napa Superior Court murder trial of 19 year old Kieran Cavender accused of knifing a 22 year old man, Clayton Altenbern, during a September birthday party outside the Napa Sea Scout House. Deputy District Attorney William Haase said he will not seek the death penalty if Cavender is convicted of first degree murder.
