In Sacramento a two day legislative inquiry will examine medical malpractice insurance practices in Southern California. Assemblyman James A Hayeshay heads the Assembly Judiciary Committee and will study doctor efforts to discourage malpractice suits, reluctance to testify, and industry pressure.
