An eight week old girl remained in critical condition at Harbor General Hospital with skull fractures and a broken leg allegedly inflicted by her father Harry William Melroy 23 a used car lot worker. He was jailed for investigation of felonious child beating as juvenile officers traced injuries to a fall and delays in medical care while the mother Laura initially claimed another child caused the harm. The infant’s arm had broken prior to November 3 and was noted by doctors on November 7.
