GM backs plan to drop emission rules save gasoline

Fourth Stanek baby goes home from hospital

Nathan Stanek, the fourth of five surviving Stanek sextuplets, has been released from Colorado General Hospital in Denver. The remaining baby, Catherine, the sole surviving girl, is expected home later this week. London Stocks Plunge to Two Year Low

AMC reports record 1973 earnings and sales growth

American Motors Corp posted net earnings of 86 million dollars for the year ending September 30 1973, or 3.18 per share, aided by tax credits. Excluding credits profits were 44.5 million or 1.65 per share on 1.7 billion in sales, with Jeep up 48 percent to 67 000 units.
