Economists urge tougher price controls in Congress hearing
Economists Barry Bosworth and Robert Nathan urged continuation and strengthening of wage price controls at a three day hearing by the Joint Economic Committee. They called for tougher price action through farm support adjustments and import restrictions while predicting inflation would rise through 1973 and 1974. They also favored routing price actions through the Price Commission focusing on industries rather than individual firms.
