FCC urged to remove all curbs on cable TV showing movies
In Washington Jack Valenti of the Motion Picture Association urged the FCC to end restrictions on pay cable TV showing movies. He argued pay TV should carry movies over two years old and under ten, calling it a family choice. Backing him were actors and producers who cited unemployment in Hollywood and the potential of home access to first run and specialized films.
