Salinas Angels offer free agents bumper produce deal
Salinas Angels owner Bob Andrews and GM Pete Ciccarelli plan a free agent bid war with a rival carrot as incentive. They offer a lifetime supply of fresh produce to signees, tout Salinas as a ideal locale with family appeal and major league operation for minors, while noting modest pay and plane trips. Eastwood reportedly may visit if he signs, though produce costs fall to the players.
