Ex-Baby Carrier Is a Freighter By Lou Jobst
The former WWII aircraft carrier Nabob, once HMS Nabob, now plies as a freighter for North German Lloyd. Torpedoed in 1944 near the Norwegian coast, she limped to Scapa Flow with heavy damage, later sold to a Dutch firm, rebuilt as a cargo ship, and flagged into Vancouver before continuing service under a Canadian merchant line.
