Proxmire charges Lockheed sweet heart U.S. subsidy deal
Sen William Proxmire accuses the government of renting a Palmdale plant to Lockheed Aircraft to build a commercial airliner under a sweetheart contract paying 10072 per month. He says payments subsidize Lockheed’s LAC Airbus and links this to recent large Navy contracts and ongoing C 5A production costs.

In Sacramento Mayo told the Comstock Club that mandatory federal wage and price controls are not inevitable and likely unenforceable though appealing as a quick fix.
