Landmark anti draft case shows Spock Coffin films in court
In a Boston federal court a jury viewed television footage against Dr Benjamin S Coffin Jr and four antiwar defendants for allegedly counseling draft evasion. Spock appeared via film statements criticizing the Vietnam War while Coffin and Yale chaplain William Sloan Coffin Jr and Marcus Raskin were present. The defense objects to the 15 minute film as fragmentary evidence and cites constitutional protections.
