Lincoln Club of Orange County officials deny tight ties to the Nixon administration. President-elect John S. Fluor says the group gave only token support to Nixon reelection and mostly funded congressional and legislative candidates. Beckman argues the club is not exclusively GOP, noting it has no record of Democratic donations. Kalmbach sits on the board but has limited influence, and Fluor criticizes Packard for not joining defense leadership.
