California property tax aid filing opens Friday
Senior Californians are urged to file for property tax assistance, which last year refunded an average of 16 to about 310000 residents. Senator Deukmejian notes nearly 50 million in aid last year. Filing runs from Friday to September 2, with eligibility including age 62, residence in 1975, home ownership and occupancy in mid 1975, and 1974 household income under 10000. The Franchise Tax Board will mail forms to last year’s qualifiers.
