Seal Beach council reframes rezoning for nine acres
Seal Beach officials referred back to the planning commission nine acres north of the San Diego Freeway and west of Seal Beach Boulevard for rezoning from general commercial to light industrial after Rossmoor residents urged keeping the area open space. The council voted three to approve with two abstentions due to seating timing. The meeting also backed Assembly Bill 1604 to seek coastal beach maintenance reimbursements up to $50,000 yearly, and approved new disposal fees for heavy and light items as part of a pilot pickup-by-appointment program.
