Americans Return to Nazi POW Camp in Szubin Poland Revisited
Thirty former US Army officers and their wives revisited Oflag 64 in Szubin Poland, now a boys reform school. They recalled cold rooms, mud walls, and a former guard who taunted posters calling Americans murderers. A plaque and roses were laid, honoring the camp’s history and Polish helpers.
