Watchdog Driver Abducted at Baltimore Stoplight
Ronald Lapin, 30, reported his English sheepdog and car were hijacked at a downtown Baltimore stoplight. The assailant grabbed the vehicle and fled with the dog inside after asking if the dog bit. Lapin said the dog is friendly, not fierce, and police are investigating.

Michael Lynn Hansen of Salt Lake City was charged in Los Angeles with hijacking a Western Airlines jet to Cuba after claiming to be inducted into the Army. He did not report for induction in California or Utah. FBI released a drawing of the hijacker.

Mountain lion sighting shocks Granada Hills resident
Nickolas Metrick saw a full grown mountain lion in his backyard while watering the lawn and fled into his home. Police and animal regulation officers arrived with shotguns and a tranquilizer gun, capturing the semi conscious 20 pound puma and taking it to the animal shelter. Officers suspected the animal may have been released or wandered from a nearby Jeep? Noted. Plans were made to release the cat in a remote area.
