Vallee seeks screen credit over Bonnie and Clyde error
Rudy Vallee angrily denounces Warner Bros for using his 1929 Deep Night recording in Bonnie and Clyde without screen credit. He considered suing after losing the Academy Awards, then softened, noting he would have preferred credit though not money. Vallee also appears with Elvis Presley in Live a Little Love a Little.

From bus to horn: Wes Grant becomes pro trumpeter
Wes Grant, once a school bus driver in Inglewood, left dull jobs to pursue trumpet full time. He now performs as a one man band at Shakey’s Pizza Parlor in Long Beach, earning a regular salary for blowing his horn. He began trumpet at 10, with family music roots, served in the Ninth Army Band, and dreamed of a pro career.
