Shakeys in Anaheim Opens and Local Music Scene
In 1965 Wes earned a first full-time spot at Shakey's on South Street, where he added cymbals to his piano setup. Anaheim Street Shakey's, the chain's 240th parlor, offers 21 pizzas from $1.30 and hosts weekly free pizza parties for groups like Scouts. Local clubs feature regular performances by Boojie, LARRY GEE and Rausers, Cami Walker, and the Limit, while Golden Sails at 6285 E Pacific Coast Hwy touts an Adagio Lounge golden hour and Mother's Day specials. Sam's Sea Food in Huntington Beach hosted the Musicals, a vocalists group with a dance combo.
