Mexico U S Curb Drug Flow Says Mitchell

Attorney General John N Mitchell says major progress in curb ing drug traffic between Mexico and the United States. He cites 36 tons of marijuana destroyed in Dos Puntos Tepic Culiacan Tijuana Nehales and Hermosillo and notes intensified Mexican enforcement cutting opium poppy and marijuana acres by 55745 acres and 44 tons of marijuana found. He highlights seizures in San Ysidro 1.2 billion amphetamine tablets and 24 kilograms heroin in Culiacan along with methamphetamine powder and gelatin capsules seized in Mexico City. He says continued cooperation could accelerate the anti drug war.
