Rattlesnake Hunt Draws Long Beach Experimentalists
In Silverado Canyon a rattlesnake hunt draws hundreds to a weekend event billed as the world’s youngest wild animal trainer. Paulina King, a Brownsville native famed for reptile work, recalls a career teaching natives to trap exotic species and recounts perilous journeys with cargo planes and lions. Venom from caught snakes will be milled for venom and sent to Philadelphia zoos and Wyeth Laboratory.
