Car crash blacks out area near Santa Ana police report
A one square mile area in south central Santa Ana was darkened for 20 minutes after a hit-and-run crash pushed a car off the road and struck a power pole at MrFadden Avenue and Sullivan Street. About 2,600 homes lost power for nearly three hours after the 1:29 a.m. crash. Beverly Anne Smith, 25, of Garden Grove, was hospitalized with multiple lacerations.
