Freed Captives Deny Deal With Viet Reds

Two U S Army sergeants Francis Quinn and George Groom held by Viet Cong for 22 days deny any deal for release. They say they expected death, were photographed with a district commander, and heard propaganda but were not promised freedom. Officials cite the May Day release as possible propaganda. They were part of a special forces detachment training South Vietnamese forces when captured in an ambush.
