Massapequa 15 Year-Old Held Without Bail in Murder
A 15-year-old Massapequa High School freshman, Bruce Zator, was charged with first degree murder for the shotgun slaying of classmate Timothy Wall, also 15, in a high school washroom. Zator, who had been under school psychiatric care, allegedly concealed a 12-gauge shotgun after sawing off the barrel. district attorney Frank Gulotta said he may be indicted for murder in the electric chair era. Wall was a local gang member, though police say gang rivalry did not influence the incident.
