Fords plan simple retirement home in Rancho Mirage

Former President Ford and wife will build a 60 square foot ranch house near Palm Springs designed by Welton Becket and Associates. The two bedroom guest house, library, and master suite include a bright kitchen overlooking a pool. Construction is planned for spring with energy efficient features and an outdoor terrace and cascade pool for casual entertaining.
