Soviet charges US sabotaging nuclear talks in Geneva

John B. Long Jr., 67, retired Feb 15 after 34 years as general manager of the California Newspaper Publishers Association, died at home on Thursday night from a heart attack. Big Airliner Vanishes Over Pacific With 107 Aboard

Military search off Guam and the Philippines hunted a missing four engine Constellation airliner owned by Flying Tiger from Manila bound for Clark Air Base. The plane carried 107 persons, mostly American servicemen, and had last radioed 270 miles east of Guam. A 24 hour chase covered 75,000 square miles with 15 aircraft and three Long Beach minesweepers among the search forces. Weather was reported excellent.
