Legislative Roundup Solons Order Study of Freeway Setup
Sacramento reports legislators moved to form a statewide freeway plan under a State Industrial Welfare Commission study. Hugh M. Burns named seven city and seven county officials to advise with the Public Works Dept. on a final report due by Sept 1. Other actions included campaign finance bill referrals, a bill to limit women worker lines, a fast track for PUC rate petitions, and a jail sentence reduction proposal for bland donations.

County officials agreed to cover electric bills incurred by firemen stationed on emergency duty at the Portuguese Bend slide area.
