Woman driver defeats no-turn signs in Lakewood dispute
Edna Russell of Lakewood, a Compton telephone operator, challenged two obscured no-turn-on-red signs at the Lakewood Boulevard off ramp. A Division of Highways engineer agreed, saying the signs are unnecessary and will be removed, ahead of her March 16 traffic court appearance.
