Cerritos hearing on hospital plan canceled by court order
Cerritos City Council canceled a public hearing on a proposed change to the town’s general plan after a court injunction. The plan would have allowed a medical park with a convalescent hospital and related facilities at 10801 College Place. The hearing was adjourned to March 29 in a larger venue, while a Superior Court hearing on March 16 continued. Mayor Rabbitt honored deaf bicyclist Bobby Wheeler Skedsmo, urging support for his Deaf Olympics bid in Sweden.
