IAF to join Mock Battle Over Canal
The Air Force announced plans for a massive simulated assault on the Panama Canal next month. TAC led by Gen. C. B. Weyland will test composite strike forces with air, amphibious and airborne operations while defending the canal. Over 10,000 Army and Marine troops, 235 Air Force and Marine aircraft, and 24 Navy ships will participate under Gen. William K. Harvison.
