GOP group streamlines its own convention voting with IBM Votomatic
The California Republican Assembly plans to use IBM Votomatic punch card ballots at its Long Beach convention from March 31 to April 2 to cut election time from eight hours to two. About 1200 delegates will vote on four automatic machines for state officers with a Reagan banquet on April 1. A test on April 1 will pose five questions about Sen. Kuchel, described as a demonstration not policy.
