Bill seeks to end pension abuses in California
In Sacramento Senator George Deukmejian introduced SB 1800 the Employee Benefit Protection Law of 1974 to curb pension abuses. The measure would require retirement system administrators to publish annual financial reports and ensure minimum vesting rights with a 30 percent vested stake after three years and full 100 percent rights after ten years.

Burglar Slays Wife of Beverly Hills Dentist
In Beverly Hills Bel Air a prominent dentist's wife Audrey Cogen 47 was stabbed to death in her home after surprising four burglars. Her husband Dr Leo Cogen found her body on the living room floor Monday evening. No weapon was found.
