Council Approves Storm Drain System And City Actions
The city council approved a revised charter amendment plan funding a $760,000 storm drain system with county bond funds and accepted modified plans for the Alamitos peninsula area. City Manager Withers announced key appointments, mayoral travel, and utility install permitting along with a shift of county funds to photography displays. Contracts include a $16,672 street drainage line and a $9,373 lawn mower package. bids will be sought for four beach cleaning tractors. A 275 acre 1,040 lot subdivision east of Dorado Park was preliminarily approved for annexation by Long Beach. A $100 travel expense was authorized for Blaine Hitschi to attend a management seminar.
